As a student at Davenport University, you have access to an offer from Microsoft that allows you to gain access to Microsoft Office 365 for free. Steps to download the software are below.
The website to get Microsoft Office 365 for Students/Staff is located here:
http://www.office.com/getoffice365 or https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/education/products/office/default.aspx

When you go to the website, you’re going to see a header that says, “Get started with Office 365 for free”. In the box below the text that says, “Enter your school email address,” you’re going to enter in your Panthermail email address (yourusername@email.davenport.edu) and click on the blue Get Started button.
-
This will walk you through the process of getting an Office 365 account setup. You will be sent a verification code to your Panthermail during the process. Sometimes, the verification code can be sent into your SPAM, so check there if you don’t see the email. At the end of the process, you should be automatically logged into your Office 365 account. Subject of email may be “davenport.edu account email verification code”
-
On the page that says, “Good Morning/Afternoon, Your Name” in a white box in the upper-right, you’ll see a drop-down menu titled `Install Office’. Click on the `Office 365 Apps’ option in the drop-down menu, which will download the installer for Office 365. Simply run that installer after it has downloaded and Office 365 will begin installing on your machine.
You'll be able to install the software on up to five Windows or Mac computers, plus download the Office mobile apps for Android, iOS or Windows tablets or phones. Your Office 365 subscription also entitles you to 100 GB of free cloud storage in OneDrive. Neither Microsoft nor your institution provide support as this is a free product.
