U: Drive missing


If your U: Drive is missing, please follow the steps below to force an update which should hopefully make it appear. If you are off campus, you will want to make sure you are connected to the Global Protect VPN.


  1. Open the command prompt by typing 'cmd' into the search bar and clicking on 'Command Prompt'
  2. type gpupdate /force into the black box that comes up and then hit enter. 
  3. Wait until you see the message 'User Policy update has completed successfully.' before closing the window. This should reload your U: Drive and other network drives. If this does not work we would also recommend restarting the computer.
