How do I upload Blackboard assignments?

Overview

Follow the instructions below to submit an assignment in Blackboard. If you are submitting a video recorded with Kaltura, please follow the second set of instructions below.

Instructions

1. Locate the assignment (which is usually under 'Weekly Materials' on the main sidebar)
2. Pick the week that you completed the assignment for. Under that week will be various assignments and tests listed depending on the agenda for that week.
3. Click on the title for the assignment you want to upload and this will bring up a new window.
4. The current window will display the name of the assignment, instructions, due date and points possible for the assignment. To write your response now, click the 'Write Submission' button to open a text box similar to the ones used for the discussion boards. This will not typically be used since most assignments will ask for a document to be uploaded, contact your instructor if you are not sure about how they would like it submitted.
5. To upload a document, click 'Browse Local Files' and this will bring up a search window. In this window search for the document or file that you completed.
6. Once the document of your choice is located, double-click it and it will show that it is attached to the assignment.
7. If you have additional comments for your instructor, you will find a 'Comments' section under the 'Attach Files' section.
8. To finalize and submit the assignment, scroll down and click 'Submit'. Remember, if you click 'Save Draft', it will not be submitted to your instructor. 'Save Draft' will only save the assignment you uploaded for you to edit or submit at a later time.

Kaltura Video Submissions

1. Select the 'Write Submission' button to open up the text box
2. Expand the toolbar if it is not already with the 3 dot button at the far right 
3. Select the 'Add Content' button which looks like a circle with a plus sign in it 
4. From this menu, click the 'Kaltura Media Submission' option, you may have to scroll down to see it. Note: There are other Kaltura options, but they are less reliable than 'Kaltura Media Submission'
