Overview
This article will show you how to connect to the VPN with your Davenport University computer and Duo multifactor authentication.
This article is intended for Davenport University employees.
Each Davenport University computer comes with the GlobalProtect application pre-installed for accessing the VPN. If you do not have GlobalProtect on your DU computer, please contact the IT Customer Support Center (CSC) at x1212 or 1-800-322-3984 or csc@davenport.edu.
Instructions
Connecting to the VPN on a DU Windows Computer:
- Click the Windows Start button and search for "GlobalProtect" - OR - open the Windows system tray and click on the "GlobalProtect" icon (a grayscale Earth with a small red and white X as shown below).
- Enter vpn.davenport.edu into the "Portal" textbox and click "Connect."
- Your web browser will prompt you to log in with your DU account credentials (username and password).
- Once you click "LOGIN" you will be prompted to authenticate via Duo. Approve the Duo authentication request on your personal device to complete the login process.
- Once you've authenticated via Duo, GlobalProtect will display "Success! Logging you in..."
- If your browser asks you to "Open GlobalProtect?" tick the "Always allow..." checkbox and click "Open GlobalProtect"
- The GlobalProtect application should show that you are "Connected" to vpn.davenport.edu. You're all set!
